ATL!

I am so bad at updating this, good thing I have 9 more months to get the hang of it!

The Mercedes Marathon was a good event, it made me motivated to train for a half marathon so I am in the process of doing that now. I need to find a fun one to do while I am on tour. It has became a new goal :) My two bosses Brian and Kelsey were with us in Birmingham, it was nice to spend time with them and get to them a little better.

After Birmingham we went to Lexington for one night for a Kentucky basketball game. Kentucky is one of my fav march madness teams so it was a lot of fun to see on of their games. We got to go on the floor and take pictures in Rupp Arena which is something not many people can say they have done. I know dad was jealous of that one :)

We have been in Atlanta now for about a week. We worked the Georgia State High School Wrestling Tournament, it was so much different than Iowa. Not as popular and a lot less people were there! It was a really fun event, we danced the days away with the high school kids. I learned a lot of new dance moves that I don't think exist in Iowa. Haha! We have a had a few days off here which was much needed after all of the long hours! We had a little tourist day the other day and went to the World of Coke and the MLK Jr Memorial both were a lot of fun, and really good bonding for us three. ATL is a really cool big city but I would never want to live here, just visit!

We are headed to Auburn this weekemd then Greenville, Charlotte, back to Atlanta, Savannah, and St Pete. I can't wait for March it is going to be a blast!

Tour Goals:
1. Update my blog once a week
2. Train for a half marathon
3. Move to Chicago in Novemeber :)

Home Cooking

We just arrived in Birmingham, AL for our 2nd event of our tour.

Superbowl XLV was awesome especially because the Packers won!! Friday and Saturday we worked long days at the NFL Experience in the Dallas Convention Center. The event was mainly for NFL Sponsors to set up giant interactive sites that consumers could participate in and get some free stuff. It was cool to see the NFL setup because it is completely different from ours. I met some new people that were great ... they gave us some good advice and hopefully we will see them again down the road. Sunday we worked at a Superbowl Viewing Party .. not so exciting but I got to see the game so it made it all worth it. Monday was our FIRST DAY OFF (YAYYYY) since we started 2 weeks ago. Us girls enjoyed the day shopping, tanning, and exploring Dallas until we had to say good bye to our new friend Camille :( (miss you lady!!)(I

Tuesday we began our first "team" road trip. John is finally with us and we have been doing some good bonding over the last 48 hours. We all love shopping and have already decided on what our first purchases are going to be!  (Its the beginning of beautiful friendship :)) Last night we stopped in New Orleans and had a home cooked meal from Celeste's grandma: Gumbo, cornbread, baked mac & cheese, red rice & beans, and strawberry shortcake. YUMM

We arrived in Birmingham, AL today for the Mercedes Marathon this week, and guess what?!?! ITS SNOWING!!! We are cursed ... we can not get away. We started off the weekend with a nice team dinner at Celeste's parents house with more home cooking: crab cakes, potato salad, shrimp stew, and pie. YUMMMYY Our  two bosses Brian and Kelsey are in town for the weekend to make sure everything goes smoothly, I think its going to be fun to hang out with them and get to know them a little better.

Chicago to Arkansas ... and everything in between

Wow ... I have literally had no time to update this since last week. We have been working long days since last Monday and it is not slowing down. I spent last week in Chicago doing training in the office at Marketing Werks. I got to know some amazing people who I will hopefully stay friends with for long after this adventure.

We headed to New Berling, Wisc on Thursday night to do training at CGS premier all weekend. I would compare it to a boot camp. It consisted of training on how to drive the vehicle with the trailer, setting up/tearing down the event site, and spending a lot of long hours in the freezing snow.

Monday afternoon in the midst of what turned into Snowmeggedon we finally "launched" out of Wisc and began the journey to the .... SUPERBOWL!!!! What we thought was going to be a nice sunny ride to the south  turned into a disaster. We did get to stop in Des Moines for some nice home cooking from Mom :) Then Tuesday we left Des Moines for Tulsa .... thats when the snow began. We were now driving in the "worst snow storm in history." Complete white out. We got stranded in Cameron, Missouri in a disease, hair infested motel with no food. We left first thing today to get out of that town as fast as possible with hopes of making it to Tulsa. The day started wonderfully, we picked up delicious Starbucks in Kansas City and were happily on our way. To sum up the day it took us 11.5 hours to drive .... 286 miles. Ridiculous! We have now rerouted and are staying the night in Fayeteville, Ark with hopes of making it to Dallas tomorrow.

I promise I will do much better at keeping this updated!! miss you all!!
